Charlie is a great listener and a very caring person. He’s always there for the people he cares about, he gets involved in their interests and likes to spend quality time together. When it comes to physical affection, he usually initiates little touches, like brushing fingers or a light caress. If the other person is receptive and he feels safe with them, he gets bolder.

Bilingual Nick Nelson Headcanons in these trying times

• He taught Nellie commands in French
• Whenever he’s scared he yells in French and it’s the funniest shit to Charlie
• Dear GOD when the rest of the Paris Squad found out it became free real estate
• Let’s just say the squad sucks at French but they’re really good at French swear words
• Tao has a viral TikTok from one of the Paris Squad’s presentation nights where Charlie’s presentation was directed at Nick.
• Charlie: Nicholas. It’s time to decide. *clicks on his laptop keyboard to reveal the next slide which is of that one Pirates of the Caribbean scene*
• Nick: *staring in horror* Sacre bleu
• Nick used to say sacre bleu ironically until it became unironic
• Darcy made a lot of memes of French Nick
• You know those French Kit Connor memes?
• Yeah. That shit.
• They somehow spread across the Paris Squad’s year groups???
• My guy gets no rest.
• On top of yelling French when he’s scared, he also does it when he’s angry.
• Especially when he loses at Mario Kart against Ollie.
• Mostly when he’s arguing with David. Charlie has many tales of when he’s been lounging in his bed as Nick and David yell angry French at each other. The only bits he can pick up on is the swearing (refer back to the scared French headcanon)
• Nick speaks French when he’s in front of Charlie’s parents and to ask Charlie if he wants to make out. The first few times Charlie used Google Translate until he memorised it.
• Nick has a long list of French pet names for Charlie and Charlie melts every time.
• Tends to get French songs stuck in his head more than English songs so that’s fun.
• The Paris Squad go back to Paris one year to celebrate everyone officially finishing uni but they get lost and Nick is their only saving grace.
• Remember how I said Nick taught Nellie commands in French? Yeah he ends up doing that with his and Charlie’s dogs too.
• His and Charlie’s kids end up also being fluent in French which is vital to planning surprises for their papa when it comes round to his birthday.
• Bonus headcanon I hc that Nick and Charlie have four daughters don’t ask me where I got it from it’s here and it’s queer.
• Charlie does end up learning a little bit of French but only pet names, swear words, ‘want to make out’ and basic phrases like ‘how are you’ + ‘good morning’, stuff about the weather, the dog’s commands and compliments bc that’s like 90% of what Nick uses French for

nick: “char” (featuring the biggest heart eyes ever)

charlie: “rugby lad” “you DICK” “giant rugby idiot” (also featuring the biggest heart eyes ever)

heartstopper nick & charlie silly supercut please .. the little competitions they have .. the running gag of them being bffs and charlie calling nick mate .. messing up nick’s hair .. ‘you do know. that it was me’ about the hickey .. blaming the other person for starting kisses .. mon amour and charlie saying its cringe but blushing still .. the stapler thing etcetc the jokes and banter between them made everything their relationship feel so real this season. they r so comfortable around each other <3

as a child of divorced parents, i struggle so much with meeting and talking with and even calling my absent father "dad". heartstopper is known for having an abundance of representation, but i appreciate that alice oseman really included something for EVERYBODY. i wish i had this scene when i was younger because i feel like i wouldn't feel as guilty for hating my dad. (and even now it gave me some sense of validity)

shout out to Heartstopper for not allowing Nick's sexuality get steamrolled in the name of avoiding awkwardness or some other crappy excuse. Thank you for allowing him to correct people because respect for his identity matters more than avoiding whatever awkwardness may follow the correction. I have seen too many occasions where bisexual people will just accept people calling them gay or straight out of the desire to not cause tension.

I don't give a shit if you thought it was repetitive or cringe or whatever the fuck when Nick would say "I'm bi, actually." As someone who has been out as bisexual for a good number of years, shit like that means the absolute fucking world to me.
